Hi all!
Well the surprise is out….my daughter and I are having a girls weekend together to celebrate her 16th {YES- 16th} birthday, which is actually Wednesday.
We are staying in this beautiful hotel, Gaylord Texan.

We had massages and facials.

Lots of yummy eats and I tried to stick with mostly Paleo ”powermeals”. I will admit I didn’t follow Paleo completely the whole weekend, but I did for most of my meals and stayed consciensous about what I was eating. Brought to you by Kasey at powercakes.net; here are some of my powermeals I have been enjoying this weekend.

Always prepared with our snacks. Special treat of brownies for Alexis and dried fruit, nuts and larabars for me. If you haven’t tried these brownies from TJ’s, you need to. But be careful…they’re addicting! The dried figs are wonderful too.

Breakfast in the room. I had an egg white omelet with tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms and turkey bacon; which came with a large fruit bowl. It was delicious! Alexis enjoyed her scrambled eggs, sausage and gravy & biscuits too.

We did some shopping {of course}. Grapevine has the cutest square with lots of cute little shops. This one was one of my favorites…it was full of all things holiday; Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Check out the website here goodthingsforallseasons.com.

Of course more eating……
I never remember to take a picture until I’ve taken at least a few bites of my meal.

Check out Kasey’s page and other powermeals below…..might give you some great ideas!
Another fun day awaits! We’re meeting up with family today to do more celebrating here.
Be sure to join me tomorrow for a “Marvelous” Monday and a SUPER cool giveaway!
