Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Overnight Oats

Hi guys!!

Not only are we going to talk about the fabulous breakfast that I had yesterday, but I’m also going to be reviewing some amazing {new to me} protein bars. I don’t think there are many people who can say they don’t like cookie dough and who wouldn’t want breakfast to taste like a favorite treat? But unlike swiping a spoonful of cookie dough; you don’t have to feel a bit guilty about swiping a bowlful of this tasty overnight oat creation.

Now let’s talk about Quest Protein Bars. The fantastic people at Quest were nice enough to send me a sampler 12-pack and a few extras to review. One of the many awesome things about this bar is how many flavor varieties there are. Check out this link to and you can view all flavors along with the nutritional information for each bar; which I might add, is pretty great. Most of the bars only have 1 to 2 grams of sugar and have a whopping 20 grams of protein for each bar. The bars are also made with no junky ingredients and they are gluten-free. Find out more specifics regarding nutrition on the Quest Protein Bar website. You can order online and they also have a link for you to find the nearest store to buy Quest Protein Bars in the store. FYI- Quest Protein Bars are sold in GNC stores.

So far, I’ve tasted the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough {new flavor}, Chocolate Brownie and Cinnamon Roll. I loved them all and the kiddos did too! My favorite, so far, is probably the cinnamon roll. It seriously tastes just like a cinnamon roll. From other bloggers’ recommendations, I tried them warmed up in the microwave for about 20 seconds…..great recommendation! The consistency of the bars is ooey, gooey, chewy and they take some time to eat {unlike your average bar}. I really like that because if I’m having a bar for a snack, I want to feel like I really had something of substance to eat. In fact, they are so filling that the kids and I have been eating 1/2 a bar at a time. Hopefully, I’ll be given the opportunity to host a Quest Protein Bar giveaway. I’d love to share with you!

Something to think about…..

Have you had overnight oats before? If so, how do you like them? Another way I like to eat them is with yogurt.

Have you tried Quest bars? If so, what flavor do you like? I can’t wait to try all of the varieties!

Any fun plans this weekend? We are planning to go see Oz: The Great and Powerful, tonight. Can’t wait!

Have a SUPER weekend!

  1. Definitely can’t say that I’d have a problem with eating a deicious cookie-dough-like treat for breakfast! I’ve only ever had overnight oats with yogurt and I have to admit that I wasn’t the biggest fan, but I’ll have to give them a try with chia and see if I like that better.

Have a great time at Oz tonight! I’ve been wanting to see that one too.

  2. I love the new Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Quest Bar! My other favs include the Strawberry Cheesecake, Coconut Cashew, Apple Pie and Cinnamon Roll. Yum!
I like to make my overnight oats with a little Greek Yogurt, stevia, almond or coconut milk and cinnamon then add in some fruit and nut butter the next day. Such a great, hearty breakfast!

  4. Quest bars are basically the only snack bar I eat anymore. I love the clean ingredient list and overall stats. Have you tried the coconut cashew yet? That ties with Cinnamon Roll for my favorite! :)

  5. I have never been a huge oatmeal fan, but I am thinking that with “cookie dough” added in, I just might be converted! ;)

Please let us know what you think of the Oz movie. I am trying to decide whether or not I should go!

  6. Harold Croxton says:

The cookie dough flavor is outrageously good. However, their apple pie flavor is my favorite. Try your oatmeal with half an apple pie Quest bar and leave out the dates. My oh my…

  7. We can’t get quest bars here in Australia. I’ve had overnight oats multiple times and love their versatility they are great.

    Your recipe looks yum!

  8. I cook oats overnight in my rice cooker (it has a timer). So not quite the same, not just soaked, but still a great breakfast. This recipe looks good with all the warm, sweet flavors, plus chia. I’m getting into a chia phase, I should try it in oatmeal.

  9. What’s the calorie count and fat count on this?

    • I figured the calorie count at about 300 calories without toppings. I’m too lazy to figure the fat count out. ;)
