One Heck of a Marvelous Weekend!!

I’m not ready for Monday to be here, but I sure have had a Marvelous weekend!

Let’s celebrate the lovely Katie’s Marvelous in my Monday with a weekend review!

Saturday started off with a bang! Madelyn and I were up at the crack of dawn to get all dolled up and hurry off to her first dance competition. She’s taken dance for several years, but this is the first year that she’s been on a team and actually competed. She has one dance for competition and the girls have been working so hard to get their jazz dance just right.

They all did such an awesome job and placed 1st overall in their division!! Since this was our first competition it was SUPER exciting!

After the dance competition, we went to lunch at Panera Bread and then made our way to Trader Joe’s. This was my mom’s first visit to Trader Joe’s and let’s just say she enjoyed herself. When I was finished with my shopping, she had only made her way through half of the store! ;)

Unfortunately, the Just Mango Slices were gone and the next shipment will not arrive until next month….bummer. But thanks to tons of taste-testing in the store, I have a new obsession… Roasted Coconut Chips. Not only were these good sprinkled over my pancake, but they’re even awesome right out of the bag.

After Trader Joe’s, it was a quick trip into Costco. I swear between the sampling at TJ’s and Costco, we could have just had lunch on the samples alone! When I got home Brad and Landen had already left for Houston. Landen had a gymnastics meet on Sunday, all the way in Houston; which is about 5 hours away….yikes!

Landen’s meet was early Sunday morning and he did absolutely awesome!! His teammate placed 1st all around and Landen placed 3rd all around for their division!

Not sure what’s going on with him in this pic, but it’s the only one we have.

Sunday was a nice quiet day filled with baking, laundry, cleaning and blogging. Brad and Landen were in Houston and Alexis spent the day with my mom. Madelyn and I both woke up really early because we had been so exhausted Saturday night and went to bed super early. We baked some very yummy cookies {recipe on the blog tomorrow}. And the weather turned really nice and we were able to get outside and take a walk {IN SHORTS}!!

It’s been one AWESOME weekend and I have a very awesome giveaway for you this week!! Hopefully, I’ll have it up and ready to go tomorrow.

Something to think about…..

How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun? I have to say mine was great and I’m one proud mama!!

How’s the weather where you live? It was warm and windy here in Texas today, but unfortunately it’s supposed to turn cold again tomorrow afternoon.

Make it a Marvelous Monday!!

Our weekend (well Friday, the only day joshua has off) was spent doing a little grocery shopping & than just hanging out since he’s been under the weather. Nothing too exciting.

Those roasted coconut chips have me SO intrigued. I almost bought them the last time that I was at TJ’s but then stopped myself. Buying those just might be happening the next time that I stop by ;) .

I had a pretty good weekend I think mainly because I am finally feeling normal again! I was actually still congested over the weekend but felt better than I had in a long time. Yay for antibiotics!
