Well….it’s Monday morning again…. Where did this weekend go?

Saturday started out really early. I got up early to clean out my Tahoe and take it to the car wash to be detailed. I strongly suggest this…I feel like I’m driving around a brand new car. My 16-year-old, Alexis, actually met me at the car wash and drove me back home. This was only the second time she’s driven all by herself….yikes…a little nerve-wracking, but she did a great job. After my car was finished, I did the grocery store thing and picked up Madelyn from her friend’s house. Later Saturday evening, Alexis and I went with my parents to see “Les Miserables“. The acting and music were fabulous, but it was really long and depressing. “Silver Linings Playback” was way more entertaining and I’m sure you’ll all think I’m crazy, but “This is 40” was one of my all-time favorites.
Sunday morning breakfast was delightful. I’m working on an extra special Valentine’s Day pancake recipe that I will be posting next week.
Sunday afternoon, Landen, had a gymnastics meet. He did great, but it was a really long day. He placed 3rd in 4 events and placed 2nd for high bar in his age group….very proud of him!!
Hopefully this week is a great one! On Sunday, I leave for a work trip to Houston. It will be fun to get away with some coworkers, but it makes for lots of preplanning.

Yay, I am seriously so excited to have won the giveaway. The funny thing, too, is that I almost picked up a bag of that popcorn this weekend but then something stopped me and I decided to be “good” and not spend money. It is as if I knew subconsciously that I would be getting some soon

It’s definitely nice to see that hard work pay off. My weekend actually ended up being a lot more productive than fun, although I suppose the feeling of accomplishment that comes with getting things done is nice enough in itself. Still, housework and cooking aren’t really anything to write home about

I am dying to see Silver Linings Play Book! Maybe we will get a sitter this weekend… The pancakes are adorable! Great for Valentines day! We went on a little weekend family trip to Lake Tahoe and drove home in the snow so a car detail would be MARVELOUS right now!
