Fun Stuff Friday!!

TGIF!! I don’t know about ya’ll, but this week was loooooong. I’m super excited it’s Friday because this weekend is a 3-day weekend for me…..after the stressful week I’ve had this week, a 3-day weekend is totally deserved.

Very informative post, as always, from Beth at shutupandrun.net on the top 5 foods runners should be eating. I was glad to see that I eat all of them (eggs, bananas, kale, quinoa, & sweet potatoes) on a regular basis. She gives the reasons why runners should eat each of the foods, along with recipes to include each superfood.
Here’s one of my recipes that incorporates two of the five runner superfoods.

When I get a little bit of time on my hands, I’m totally going to learn how to use the SLR camera my mother-in-law loaned me. This tutorial looks so helpful. One of my goals for the new year is to learn how to take and edit blog and personal photos with an SLR camera and I think this site could really help.

Any treadmill runners out there? How do you keep from getting bored?

What’s your favorite food out of the 5 runner superfoods?
That’s a hard one for me. I’d say either bananas or sweet potatoes. I definitely eat bananas the most of all 5.

  3. This week has absolutely drug on and on!! All day yesterday I was thinking that it should be Friday…so disappointing :( You are lucky that you get a 3 day weekend. It seems like everyone does but me!

  4. Yahoo for long weekends! Happy Friday! I have my long run (22miles) this weekend so I’m kinda love/hating on it getting here! I eat tons of bananas and sweet potatoes!! I need to get in those others! Speaking of food, because of your rec. I tried Tina’s French Toast Scramble! WOW!! Yu-mmy! I was scared it would be eggy..it was so good! I will want to eat it every day..I just have to be careful of the amount of crunchy peanut butter that I piled on;)

  7. Oh the treadmill – a blessing and a curse. I love that it allows me to get a decent amount of activity in when it’s absolutely freezing outside, but I really wish that it didn’t make me feel so much like a hamster on a wheel. Some of my favorite things to do to keep from getting bored are reading, watching a movie/show, intervals, or chatting with a friend. Hopefully winter won’t last TOO much longer and we’re able to get outside again soon!
