The BEST Snickerdoodles Ever

For a little Marvelous in My Monday; I have not one, but two awesome Snickerdoodle recipes to share with you. Thanks, Katie, for hosting!

Okay, I know I say every cookie is my favorite, but believe me this one is REALLY my favorite! I’ve loved Snickerdoodles the longest. They were the cookie that I always asked for and tried to make as a kid.

I tried this recipe from Kim at Lovin’ From The Oven after seeing a picture of the cookie on Pinterest. I have completely fallen in love with this cookie {yes, that’s possible}. It’s so soft, chewy and melt in your mouth delicious! For sure, my new go-to cookie!

*Don’t forget the cream of tarter! That’s where the Snickerdoodle gets it’s signature taste from.

Now for my second Snickerdoodle recipe….

I used Kim’s recipe as a base for this recipe too, but just subbed out each ingredient with a healthier ingredient. In my honest opinion, it’s not quite as good as the above Snickerdoodle, but I still loved the way these turned out and I’m SURE Santa will too! They are not quite as chewy and have a thicker flaky texture. If you are looking for a healthier cookie, these are for sure a must.

I so hope you enjoy these recipes as much as my family has. I made both of them this weekend and my whole family liked both varieties.

Something to think about……

Ever tried Snickerdoodles?

What was your favorite cookie as a child? What is your favorite cookie now?

Have a Marvelous Monday!

  4. I absolutely LOVE snickerdoodles. Combining sugar with cinnamon in a soft and chewy cookie? Be still my heart! I wouldn’t say they’re my favorite cookie (that one goes to chocolate chip oatmeal), but they’re definitely up there.

  5. Thanks for including a healthified version! I love snickerdoodles, but don’t ever make them–I figure I’ll eat enough goodies without making more to keep in the house. But a healthified version?!? Yes please!

    • Oh I love those too! Now that you mention it, if you don’t press them down before baking, they would be really similiar.
