It’s Friday! Yippee!
Anybody have anything fun on the agenda for this weekend? If the weather is right and not too windy, my family is planning on going to a hot air balloon festival on Saturday. I’ve never been and think it will be really neat, so I’m hoping the winds are very low on Saturday.
Let’s get onto a little Fun Friday Link Love…….
I really need these homemade Rolos in my life! They look super easy to make and I love how Angela used dates to make a faux “caramel”. If you are more of a Twix fan, check out her recipe for those; which also uses dates in place of caramel.
It may be a bit too early to start my Christmas wishlist, but how cute is this?!?! {skinny bow bangle by Kate Spade}
I really loved this post from Janae on pushing through and having gratitude. She relates the theory to running and pushing through those last tough miles, but this could totally apply to lots of things that you try to get through in life. I can totally relate…..as I’m pushing through the last miles of a long difficult run, I often think of all of the things that I’m grateful for and how lucky I am to be able to run. I so need to read the book Janae references {Mile Markers, by Kristin Armstrong}.
{Here’s an excerpt from the book, that Janae posted. It really hits home.}
Another great post….this one’s from Beth on 20 things no one tells you about running.
These are my two favorites, but they’re all great and if you run head on over and check them out.
6. You will run a race and in the middle of the race you will tell yourself you will never do this again. Yet, 30 minutes after you are done you will surf the Internet for your next race. Running is kind of like childbirth that way. {I think 2013 sounds like a good year to run another marathon!….Yikes!}
20. You will never forget crossing the finish line of your first marathon or half marathon. That moment in time will come to mean a lot to you. Your feet might not even touch the ground.
Just in case you haven’t completely made up your mind yet. This website offers a quiz to see what candidate matches up with your views best. There is also information given about different issues and how each candidate feels about them.
And in honor of Halloween on Wednesday……enjoy……

Yikes….that’s creepy!
Have a fabulous Friday!!

The Halloween pics are hilarious. Thanks for the link to the political quiz–I need this to help sort things out, believe it or not. I’m not the best at keeping it all straight–who supports what and how they anticipate doing it.
