Hi guys! Happy one day before the official day of Fall! I’m so happy and excited that it’s Friday and I’m in for a SUPER fun weekend {that starts tonight}! It’s a surprise right now, but I will fill you on Sunday.
Since I don’t normally post on Saturday (the official day of Fall), I’m doing an all Fall post today.
I think Fall has officially became my favorite season of the year. Fall is so great because when you’re tired of all your Summer clothes and the heat; it sneaks up on you with cool air, sweatshirts, changing leaves on the tree and yummy pumpkin candle smells.
Do you have a Fall bucket list? Maybe not actually written down, but I bet you have a list of things in your head that you want to do this Fall. Here’s a look at my list.
Here are a couple of great Fall links that I came across recently and I’m sharing the love…….

I’m also going to sneak in a lovely and very easy recipe to complete your first Fall morning tomorrow…..and the kids will love it.
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp of pumpkin puree (or banana, or carrot, or butternut squash, or pineapple, or sweet potato puree)
- Dash or two of cinnamon
- 2 slices of 100% whole wheat or Ezekiel bread
- Flax meal (optional)
- Pure maple syrup, confectioners’ sugar, jam, or fresh fruit for serving
- In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg, puree, and cinnamon together. Add the bread slices and turn them in the mixture to soak.
- Spray skillet cooking spray and set over medium-high heat. After about a minute and after skillet is hot, add the bread slices and sprinkle with flax, if you’d like. Cook about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Serve with your favorite toppings.
- Another idea that kids really like, is to cut into slices after cooking and allow kids to dip into a small bowl of pure maple syrup.
Stay tuned because I have a few Fall inspired recipes in the works from muffins to chili!
As a side note- I just have to share, I had worked on this post for a good amount of time and was almost finished with it, when I tried to make the bucket list printable and the whole post disappeared. YIKES!!!!!!! I was panicing and went to the help page, where I searched “undo”. If you didn’t know this (I didn’t) Ctrl+z is undo…..it worked. Thank goodness!!

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!!!
What is something on your Fall bucket list?
Are you excited that it is Fall or are you sad to say goodbye to Summer?

Thanks for the undo tip. I have a feeling that will be very helpful someday!

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year! My husband, kids and I are going to campout in the backyard tomorrow night to celebrate the first day of fall. Hopefully we don’t get eaten up by mosquitos because it is Texas and it is still fairly warm outside!
I plan on doing lots of fall food posts over the next several weeks, pumpkin EVERYTHING, apple butter, pies, etc. Good thing I am training for a race in December because I need it with all the food I plan to make!

Thanks! Unfortunately, it’s not a placemat, it’s fabric and I actually got it at Walmart.
Pumpkin is one of my all time favorite scents, foods and desserts (difference?) haha* Roasting pumpkin seeds is a tradition I brought into my new family and they are OBSESSED! Have you ever tried sea salt and lime pumpkin seeds? So good

I love the fall, love the changing of the leaves and the crispness in the air, I would definitely like to get out hiking more. I find the colder weather makes me stay inside a little more which is a shame because you can’t beat the beautiful scenery, I just need to suck it up and dress warmer I guess.
Simone To yoyo or not… that is the question
Love ANYTHING pumpkin… and wow your french toast looks delicious! Thanks for sharing xo
Hi Kim! Just stumbled upon your bog and I really enjoy it
Love the idea of a Fall bucket list… I’m actually working on my own, and apple picking and pumpkin carving are on my list as well. I’m a little sad to say goodbye to summer, just because of all the sunshine and fresh fruit, but Fall is my favorite season, so as long as I don’t think about the coming of winter, I’m a happy camper
Hope you’re having a beautiful Saturday!
