Thursday Things with Link Love

How is everyone’s week shaping up? Do many of you get a 3-day weekend for Labor Day? I do and it is much needed! Who invented the 5-day work week anyway? I think a 4-day work week would be just perfect!

So here are some links that I have been lovin’ this week…..check’em out!

I love the breakdown of the nutritional fact labels. Also, great information on what you should be looking for when going to the grocery store.

My daughter has been having some skin issues. She’s 15, so I think that’s pretty normal. I actually have had my share of skin issues too, but surprisingly I really didn’t as a teenager. Mine started more in my twenties……ugh. I heard from another blogger that this asprin trick actually works. We’re going to give it a try and report back.

How cool is this?!? These ice cream ideas are awesome! That roasted peach cinammon is all of my favorite things blended into one. This will be in my tummy very soon and I’ll be sure to let you guys know what I think.

My two younger kids bring their lunch to school about 75% of the time and I love this idea for making them feel extra special in the middle of the day. These are super cute, but a post-it does the trick just as well!

I have seen several bloggers post this cookie recipe and each one raved about it. I’m going to give it a try in the very near future, but probably try cutting out some sugar. If you’ve already tried a lower sugar version, let me know what you think.

I just started reading Emily Giffin’s new book this week and so far I’m really getting into it. My favorite books to read are those quick light reads that don’t get too serious or make me cry and I’m breezing right through this one. I’ve actually read all of her other books too. They were all good, but I especially liked Heart of the Matter.

  1. You would be surprised with your daughters acne…oil is sometimes the trick! i make a product that many teens have been using instead of proactive. the base is olive oil, beeswax, and essential oils. it sounds scary to put oil on a zit….but it works..and its natural! i just found your blog through kath eats! love it…i will be bookmarking you!
